Born in Vienna, Austria, Regina Anzenberger is a painter, founder and director of the Vienna-based Anzenberger Agency, which has represented photographers from around the world since 1989. She has extensive knowledge in virtually every area of print-media production, having worked as an illustrator, photographer and journalist.
Her love of photography was strengthened by her experience as a chief photo editor for a range of Austrian magazines from 1983 to 1989. Anzenberger has been a member of the International Nominating Commitee of the Infinity Awards of the ICP in New York, the Committee of the Joop Swart Masterclass of World Press Photom and the Nominating Committee of the Paul Huf Award by FOAM Fotomuseum Amsterdam.
She has edited a number of publications including Regina Maria Anzenberger – 22 Photographers, East, and Ferdinand Schmutzer – Photographic Works, and has curated exhibitions including The World of Sigmund Freud with photos by Ferdinand Schmutzer at the Leica Gallery in New York and the Austrian Embassy in Washington.
She was also a Jury Member of the CNN Journalist Award for the German speaking countries.
