Oscar Guardiola-Rivera is a writer, art critic and philosopher. His forthcoming book What If Latin America Ruled the World? was presented at the Hay Literary Festival in 2010. Last year, he collaborated with British director Ken McMullen in the film An Organisation of Dreams premiered at the London Film Festival. He is the Arts & Philosophy Editor of ‘Naked Punch: An Engaged Review of Contemporary Art & Theory’. He is a member of the Steering Board of the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities, University of London. He is the founder and Former Director of the Instituto de Estudios Sociales y Culturales (Pensar), Universidad Javeriana, Bogota, Colombia, the 2000 Bogota International Book Fair Prize. He is also an activist with the Indigenous Nasa People of Southern Colombia.
