Diederik Meijer (1968) is a documentary photographer from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
He is also the founder of the international online photography magazine The Black Snapper, rebranded to Bite! magazine on 22 February of 2010.
Meijer usually portrays people up close who are in difficult circumstances. Documentary subjects include topics such as child witches in Congo and Dutch prisoners in the Dominican Republic.
At the moment he is working on a photo essay in Conception, Chile, to cover the aftermath of the earthquakes and tsunami.
