Jeanne Mercier is the co-founder and chief editor of Afrique in Visu – the first photography exchange platform and network in Africa. Mercier works closely with the Artistic Council of Festivals and Artists.
She is currently doing researches about photographer in Africa. She wrote her thesis on Rencontres Africaines de la Photographie and her PhD was on the Elaboration of a photographic cultural context in Africa, taking the Malien case at the EHESS, Paris.
She is interested in the emergence of new forms of photography distribution in Africa.
