Andreas Müller-Pohle is an artist, publisher and editor based in Berlin. Born in Brunswick, Germany, in 1951, he studied Economics and Communications at the University of Hannover and the University of Göttingen, from 1973–79.
Since 1980 Müller-Pohle has been Editor of the European Photography Magazine, Göttingen and Berlin. From 1985–94 he was a consultant for European Photography Award, Frankfurt and Bad Homburg. In 1986 he published Vilém Flusser’s Die Schrift – Hat Schreiben Zukunft? (“Scripture – The Future of Writing”) as an electronic book on diskette, and in 1996 he worked at the foundation of Edition Flusser. From 1997 to 2004 he was visiting professor at the Higher Institute for Fine Arts, Antwerp, Belgium. Reind M. De Vries Foundation European Photography Prize, 2001. Foundation of Eye-Mind, 2005.
