Julian Rodriguez is Head of the Department of Media at Falmouth University. He has guided some of the UK’s leading photographers including Tom Hunter, Dan Tobin Smith, Dan Holdsworth, Ed Reeve and Bettina Von Zwehl. In 2007, he was instrumental in bringing The Stanley Kubrick Archive to the University of the Arts, London. Since 1994 he has written extensively on both the influence of photography and its impact as historic documentation, writing predominantly for the British Journal of Photography, London and Photographic District News, New York. He was Chair at the Deutsche Bank Photography Prize from 2003-2009.
He is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees of Photoworks (Brighton, England) which commissions new photography and exhibitions, publishes Photoworks Magazine and produces the Brighton Photo Biennial.
